Project Description

595 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, CT 06604 is a newly constructed 44,500-square-foot community and recreational facility developed by the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club to serve youth and families in Bridgeport’s North End and Hollow neighborhoods. The two-story facility includes a full gymnasium, learning and technology centers, teen and youth spaces, a performing arts studio, STEM and educational areas, a commercial kitchen and café, and an early learning center. The building also provides space for community partners, including Southwest Community Health Center and Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders, expanding access to medical, dental, behavioral health, and youth services. Constructed on the former North End Boys & Girls Club site, the project transforms an underutilized property into a modern community hub designed to support education, recreation, health, and youth development.
