Project Description

117–129 Whalley Avenue in New Haven, CT 06511 is a mixed-use affordable housing development consisting of 49 residential apartment units with ground-floor commercial space along the Whalley Avenue corridor. Located adjacent to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the five-story building will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments designed to provide long-term affordable housing for families and individuals. The development also includes community and fitness spaces, streetscape improvements, and enhanced pedestrian connectivity, contributing to the ongoing revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood. Developed through a partnership between St. Luke's Development Corporation and The Glendower Group, the project is intended to strengthen one of New Haven's primary commercial corridors while expanding access to quality affordable housing.
